Ruth Ballweg Malfatti, 92, died October 10, 2008 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Arlington, NJ and was reared in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1978 and lived there until 2001 when she moved to Savannah to be with her family. She was a former member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Savannah. Her husband, Raymond Malfatti preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Carole Eckes and Joan Morgan both of Savannah; son, Robert Malfatti of Long Island, NY; sister, Doris Valentine of Merritt Island, FL;
Nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service and burial will be held in Stuart, FL.
